My wife and I recently spent 10 nights at the Bandara Phuket Beach Resort to celebrate our anniversary, and our experience was wonderful. Upon arrival, we were touched by a thoughtful gesture left in our room by the hotel staff, setting a warm tone for our stay.
While some reviews criticize the hotel's location, we found it ideal. This was our third visit to Thailand, and we love this area for its tranquility, far from the hustle and bustle of Patong. The resort is a 20-25 minute drive from attractions like Old Phuket Town and the Naka Night Market. It boasts direct access to Ao Yon Beach and is just a five-minute walk from the picturesque and lesser-known Khao Khad Beach. The neighborhood is well-serviced with excellent restaurants, bars, massage parlors, and taxi services. Additionally, there's a 7-Eleven conveniently located less than five minutes away on foot.
The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and eager to assist. One memorable instance was when I needed to scan and print some work documents; despite being busy with other guests' check-ins and check-outs, the reception staff were extremely helpful. A special mention goes to Sa from Housekeeping, who went above and beyond to ensure our room was immaculate and surprised us with delightful little gifts (photo attached).
Our room featured a partial sea view, which was fine since we didn't plan to spend much time indoors. The room itself was spacious, clean, and equipped with an excellent air conditioner. The pool area was well-maintained and offered stunning views, and the Flamingo Beach Bar was a pleasant spot to relax.
The check-in and check-out processes were smooth, even at 4 AM when we departed, thanks to the accommodating and friendly staff.
Overall, given our love for this serene and beautiful area, we will definitely return to Bandara Phuket Beach Resort.
With panoramic Andaman Sea views, a pristine white sandy beach at your doorstep and a range of on-site facilities, you can be assured of a pleasurable and relaxing stay.

It’s so far from the main city and the amount you pay for up and taxi can be used to stay in a better hotel in the city.
Rooms are very old .. looks like very old building fitted with some lights and a bathroom. They badly need to renew therooms. It has to be brightly lit.

Very disapointing I came with high expectations and they were not fullfiled:
1. The staff at the front desk were not friendly at all. I arrived after a long flight to Thiland and hardly a smile from any of the receptionists.
I was looking for some attractions to do and was looking through their book for about half an hour trying to decide what to choose. No one aproached or tried to help or offer advice. That happened twice.
2. It was my birthday, and a family member from
US waned to order a surprise cake for me. He called me up to ask if I got it, I had no idea what he was talking about, aperantly they just left it in the room fridge without notifying me at all + did no add the note he asked to print for me.
3. When I arrived I asked where can I change money. The receptionist said "turn right and walk 10 minutes" , the problem is after you start going right, there are 2options of turns and no one to ask as there is litrelly nothing around. They could be a bit more specific..
4. I had some ants in the room+ 2 baby spiders. I understand this is a tropical island and yet this is a 5 star resort.
5. There is no gegi milk option in the restaurant
for coffee. Only cow milk. I woul think in 2023 there ould be at least one other option for vegans.
6. There is more but I made my point..

My wife and I rate this beach experience as excellent for swimming (but not for surfing!), and although best not to swim at lower tides due to the exposed reef, medium and hight tides are excellent. It's safe , protected from the surf, and clean for kids and beginner swimmers. Best things are the great service provided by the KANTARY hotel (by a covered vehicle), departing every 15 minutes, and the free towels (for Kantary guests) and affordable restaurant at the Panwa Beach, located just over the hill.

Panwa Beach is very peaceful, away from the crowds, but not dead. There are people walking along the beach and a handful of bar/restaurants along the shore, but it isn't too loud or crazy at night. A nice peaceful getaway. As for the swimming, maybe not the best as the ground under the water along the beach seemed to have a lot of large rocks and other items in it. I wouldn't exactly recommend it for swimming. But for relaxing, boating, getting a few drinks, it's great. My recommendation would be to stay at a resort/hotel along Panwa and renting a car so that you can drive to other beaches for swimming, such as Ya Nui beach.

There was a small beach close to our apartment which was located next to Panwa Cape Viewpoint. This beach is very private, small but beautiful. Another bigger beach which is called Panwa Beach is close to the hotel Cape Panwa Hotel. There is regular free shuttle bus from Kantari Hotel to Cape Panwa Hotel, which is provides daily every 20 minutes.

Staff were very friendly , my room on the first njgt had a massive leak in the ceiling - so had a night of dripping sounds onto the floor. I requested a new room the next morning and was moved to a similar room ( with a less good view but no complaints there it was dry so that’s what counts).
Generally found the resort in need of a big update - looks and feels very dated.
It’s new luxurious boutique hotel villas five star in Panwa, Phuket. Got great view, small nice clean beach down the hill, very nice breakfast, all beef and chicken in menu was halal, spa experience was perfect. very quiet hotel, bar on top has beautiful view. Our butler Taya who perfectly served us all time we stayed was very professional, kind , cheerful and helpful! definitely would recommend the hotel
We loved the newly built cafe that served a variety of delicious cakes and coffee. Nice and cool if you wanted to sit down to cool off inside & great views over the beach if you want to sit on the balcony.
We also loved the decor of the hotel, views, the beach which was beautiful and clean as well as the very attentive staff that really made our stay very enjoyable.
Food was mostly really nice.
Fantastic location literally right on the beach. Also one of the few Phuket beaches that was not overrun with beach lounges and umbrellas. Great staff - nothing was too much trouble and working within the vegan restrictions was no problem. It was such a chilled and relaxing place, that we didn't leave it during our stay or want to leave when the time came.
gorgeous property, great breakfast, amazing staff, gym and spa were incredible and well priced for treatments. nothing was too much trouble.
you can easily walk to panwa beach for food and bars. just all around great really would highly recommend. definitely get a grab (Uber) to Phuket old town, was a highlight!
The hotel thought beyond and did provide everything such as umbrellas, flipflops, microwave, beach basket, private beach, kayaks, live music, playground….and even free cat! The location is good for those having cars or motorcycles, easily connect to the main road for traveling to different places
Beautiful hotel room with pool. Great private location, away from the tourist location. Access to beach and walk on the beach to different hotel resort cafe/restaurants. Comfy bed, not super hard. Hotel taxi is comparable to Grab. 7/11 5-7 min walk. Nice staff, Jira was so sweet.
The staff were so kind and very helpful
The view in the room was amazing
The swimming pool was 80% private I like that because other hotels they said private pool but next door room can see everything in your pool so were is the privacy!! But bandara was very good
I was grateful that the hotel could provide gluten free bread and the omelettes were wonderful .
The reception staff are friendly, efficient and remember small details . The room upgrade was much appreciated, but the studio suites are lovely too .
The room is spacious and there are kitchenware e.g. pots and pans available for cooking. The balcony is great for relaxing and drinking coffee and the Panwa beach at their sister hotel is lovely. It is also really quiet around there.
peaceful. very local feel. relaxing place. recommend it. it’s more calm seas b west Phuket so a good contrast. nice food at Cove and up the hill lots to see around area if you walk. reef walking around to other beach is fun
It was the best stay in Phuket the facilities are amazing, the staff are super friendly and kind and most importantly the views are stunning.
I highly recommend anyone to try this resort when visiting Phuket.
Breakfast: Exceed expectation of breakfast menu: wonderful for my child.
Beach: Wonderful sea viewed
